The Taft College Library has five group study rooms available for check-out. Group study rooms may be reserved up to two weeks in advance, by clicking on the following URL https://taftcollege.libcal.com/reserve/groupstudyrooms . Group study rooms must be checked out at the Circulation Desk. To check out a group study room, you will need to have your Taft College Student ID (A numbers will not be accepted). Students may check out group study rooms for up to two consecutive hours once a day. Please have at least two of your group members present when you check out the group study room. No fewer than two persons may reserve a group study room. Unoccupied rooms or rooms with only a single individual for more than 15 minutes will be cleared to make way for waiting groups. All group study rooms must be vacated 15 minutes before the library closes. As per Taft College Library Policy, food is not allowed in our group study rooms. Bottled water is acceptable. Please keep voices to a normal level as these rooms are not sound-proof. Taft College Library staff reserves the right to have students removed if they violate the group study room rules. By Checking out a study room you accept all terms and conditions as posted on the TC library website.

 

  • There is a minimum of 2 students per room.
  • Unoccupied rooms or rooms with only a single individual for more than 15 minutes will be cleared to make way for waiting groups.
  • A group can only use a room one time per day.
  • Rooms not occupied 15 minutes after check out will be automatically made available to others, first come, first-served.
  • All rooms must be vacated 15 minutes before the library closes.

How to Reserve a Group Study Room

Step 1 Step 1, Click on the reserve group study rooms tab. Select the day and time you wish to reserve. You may reserve a group study room once a day. Remember to check in at the circualtion desk.

Step 2 Step 2, Use the drop down to select your end time. There is a maximum time of 2 hours.

Step 3 Step 3, Your booking detail page will pop up. If the information looks correct, click on the continue button.

How to Reserve a Group Study Room

Step 4 Step 4, Fill out the booking form. There is a minimum of 2 people per room. You must list the names of all students using the group study room. When you are finished click on the submit my booking button.

Step 5 Step 5, After you have submitted your booking form. You will receive a thank you note. You will now need to check your email, to confirm the room.

Step 6 Step 6, In your email you will need to click on the link to verify your reservation. After you click on the URL from your email. You will be redirected to a website. You will click yes to verify your room. remember to check in at the circulation desk before using your group study room.
