Assignment 1: Mini Research Project

Assignment Overview:

Choose an artist and one of their works of art from this Grove Art Online list.

Write an essay that includes a biography of the artist: who is the artist, what type of work did they do, when were they active, where were they from, and why you chose this particular artist and work. Discuss the specific work of art, describing the work in detail and why you think  it is important. Your essay should be at least 3 pages in length. Include a Works Cited page at the end of the essay.

Use Grove Art Online to:

 Locate biographical articles about the artist. 

 View the image of the specific art work.

 Write a minimum of 3 pages

 Use at least 3 sources: A combination of biographical articles and images from Grove Art Online ONLY. No internet images or articles will be accepted.

 Format in-text citations and the Works Cited page using MLA Style formatting.
