Write a research paper that is 6 to 10 pages. The topic should be something you are interested in: Consider your race, your gender, your ethnicity and issues that you care about, such as education, finances, laws, politics, etc. The topic should focus on a concept/idea presented in the course:
You must have use scholarly sources and credible websites. You may use your textbook and/or subject encyclopedias (not Wikipedia) for background information, but they do not count as a required source. Websites with .edu, .gov, or .org are permitted--no .com, or .net.
You must have a minimum of 4 scholarly sources and 2 websites. Scholarly sources include books, articles, primary sources, etc. Use the Taft College Library catalog, OneSearch, and the databases to locate your scholarly materials.
Your paper is to follow the Chicago/Turabian Style. Please see the Chicago/Turabian Style Guide tab on the far right of this guide for details on in-text and bibliographic citations.
