Research Assignment:

Choose a topic that relates to U. S. History between 1865 to 2001. Any topic from the textbook is acceptable.

Write a proposal between 500-600 words that includes these 5 points:

  1. Provide a title for your paper
  2. Write a Research Topic paragraph
  3. Write a Formal Introduction paragraph
  4. Write  Background/context paragraph
  5. Write Research Notes

This assignment requires two scholarly sources. These sources can be from a subject encyclopedia, a book, or articles from databases.

Formatting:

Your paper is to follow the Chicago/Turabian Style or MLA 8th ed. and include citations and notes. Please see the Chicago/Turabian Style Guide and MLA Style 8th ed. tab on the far right of this guide.
